A well-known doctor once explained the Lipid Profile through a powerful and relatable story.
Imagine your body as a small, lively town. In this town, there are some troublemakers — and their leader is Cholesterol.
Their most notorious partner-in-crime? Triglycerides.
These hooligans roam the streets, create blockages, and disturb the peace.
At the heart of this town lies the City Centre — your Heart.
Every road leads to this city centre. But when these troublemakers increase in number, they begin to clog the roads, trying to block the heart’s work.
Thankfully, this town also has a police force — called HDL (High-Density Lipoprotein).
HDL is the good cop. It catches the bad elements and puts them in jail — the Liver.
The liver then flushes them out through the body’s drainage system.
But there’s a corrupt cop too — LDL (Low-Density Lipoprotein).LDL releases those troublemakers back on the streets and chaos resumes.
When HDL (the good cop) is low, the town falls into disarray.
Now tell me — would you want to live in such a place?
If not, then it’s time to take action.
Start walking!
With every step, your HDL rises, and the thugs like LDL, cholesterol, and triglycerides start to vanish.Your body-town comes alive again.
Your heart — the city centre — stays protected from blockages and attacks.
And when your heart is healthy, you are healthy.
So, whenever you get a chance — start walking!
Stay healthy. Stay happy.
